Here’s a “Window” of Opportunity You Won’t Want to Miss!

Window Outfitters is offering $100 off per window opening with no limit to the amount or number of openings.  To qualify for this allowance, the windows must be purchased and installed by December 31, 2011.

This is in addition to the The federal tax credit of up to $500 for qualifying home improvements that ends this year. If you haven’t taken advantage of this great tax break, now is the time to do so.

Energy-efficient replacement doors and windows are a great way to qualify for this tax credit, but the key to obtaining the optimum results for your home (and your wallet) is to choose a licensed expert.

At Window Outfitters we have the expertise and professional installation experience as well as an outstanding track record of exceptional customer service to help you make just the right choice for your home.  We offer many lines of premium replacement windows and doors – wood, vinyl, or fiberglass – and our customer service specialists are ready to help you evaluate your options.

The right choice in doors and windows can affect your heating and cooling costs, and you’ll appreciate the energy cost savings year round.  As an example, the replacement windows we offer have an increased energy efficiency of up to 35% in winter alone.  That’s a savings you can’t afford to pass up.

Come out to our Savage showroom today to see the beautiful energy-saving choices available to you.  Or call us for a free in-home consultation and let us show you how you can protect and beautify the investment in your home while saving on your energy bill.   Now is the time to replace those old drafty windows with new energy-saving ones before another Minnesota winter blows in.

Federal Tax Credit: Tax Credit Continuation for Energy Efficient Windows, Doors, and Skylights
On December 17th, 2010, President Obama signed H.R. 4853: "Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization and Job Creation Act" creating a continuation of window, skylights, and door energy tax credits that were originally developed from The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
This act enables homeowners to receive a tax credit for 10% of the product cost or a maximum amount of $200 for qualifying windows and 10% of the product costs or a maximum amount of $500 for qualifying entry doors (cannot exceed $500 total tax credit). If the homeowner has taken a tax credit of $500 or more for any energy efficiency products in the 2006 through 2010 tax years they are not eligible for this tax credit in 2011.

How to Qualify for the Tax Credit:

  1. Purchase and install qualifying products beginning January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011. The tax credit is for the cost of products only - it does not include installation costs. The tax credit is for the taxpayer's principal residence only.
  2. The homeowner must have a Manufacturer's Certification Statement to qualify. This is a signed statement from the manufacturer certifying that the product or component listed qualifies for the 2011 tax credit. The taxpayer must keep a copy of this certification statement and purchase receipts for their records, but does not have to submit a copy with their tax return.
