Mpls Window & Door News: Pella Granted ENERGY Star Partner of the Year Award

Pella has long been a leader in developing energy efficient windows and doors. This year, the Environmental Protection Agency and Department Of Energy have rewarded them with a Partner of the Year Award. Nearly 20,000 companies participate in the ENERGY Star program, but only leaders amongst them are granted this award.

How Did Pella Win It?
Over its 88 year history, Pella strove to produce the best windows possible. Of that time, they’ve been a longtime supplier of energy efficient products.  They also stress education in why to opt for ENERGY Star products instead of less efficient options. This combination of quality and dedication have been recognized and officially rewarded.

Energy Efficiency Facts
There are many advantages to installing energy efficient windows by Pella.

Yearly Savings
An average family can expect to save between $146 and $501 per year when they switch to ENERGY  Star-rated windows from older single-pane models.

Better Insulation
Between the two panes that make up double-pane windows a gas is trapped which insulates more than twice as well as a single sheet of glass.

Low-E
Windows with a low-E coating block more sunlight from entering the home and help prevent heat from getting out. This means that you’re more comfortable during extreme Minnesota winters and our muggy summers with less dependence on air conditioning or heat.

Because fewer UV rays make it in, your window dressings and any fabric by windows won’t fade as quickly as regular glass.

An unexpected advantage of gas-filled windows is that it also helps muffle nuisance noise from outside.

More About Pella
Pella is still a family owned business and professionally operated, which guarantees a great work ethic and product. It has remained an American run company and is still headquartered in the town of Pella in Iowa.  Its ongoing dedication to creating environmentally friendly and high quality products has earned it one of the top places in window manufacturing.
