The Cost: Fiberglass doors are much more affordable than some other options. You can expect to pay between $200 to $900 for a door. The higher price comes from those that are more decorative or custom made. And of course, the more options you choose, the higher the price.
Durability and Maintenance: The durability of an exterior door is something we find is important to the homeowners we work with. When you choose a fiberglass door, you can have it for years without having to do much upkeep other than wiping and scrubbing the outside of the door down to keep it clean.
Energy Efficiency: Fiberglass doesn’t stretch or shrink, which is something that many homeowners are thankful about, especially in temperatures like ours that change often. It is perfect for any weather areas or climates that can be harsh, whether too hot or too cold. Some other door materials can expand or contract and cause the door to warp or shrink so it won’t fit snugly or else it becomes difficult to open or close. And a door that doesn’t seal lets air in and out, causing heat and cooling loss.
